As a global fintech investment rail and pioneer of fractional share trading, DriveWealth has a unique position in the broader financial ecosystem. We’re charting a new course by bridging the gap between the best of the traditional financial industry and the uniquely innovative fintech space. In order to accomplish our mission to expand affordable access to investing worldwide, we’re committed to maintaining a “best of both worlds” environment for our team members that’s fostered through inclusion, growth, and accessibility – a culture that’s maintained by our fearless Head of People, Emily Ellis.
Following DriveWealth’s landmark year that’s been recognized through 10 top-tier industry awards, we’re thrilled to announce that Emily has been honored on this year’s NYC FinTech Women Inspiring FinTech Females list! Published annually, the list recognizes women who are driving innovation for our industry, leading us all through difficult times, and inspiring our entire community. Included in the Leader category for her dedication to increasing gender diversity in fintech, Emily puts into practice the fresh thinking, creative solutions, and heart that’s required to drive our company and industry forward every day.
Emily is passionate about finding new ways to identify future female leaders – both within the DriveWealth organization and, importantly, by taking steps to engage with organizations focused on supporting underrepresented groups in fintech.
Through Emily’s leadership, DriveWealth works directly with our investor Base10 to engage with organizations like CodePath, a nonprofit that’s driven to eliminate inequities in tech education, diversify the field, and provide underrepresented students with a path toward economic mobility and generational wealth. As a result, we recently hosted the Base10 team and CodePath students on the NYSE floor for a workshop on the importance of building financial literacy skills to catapult their personal and professional growth – a purpose that remains near and dear to our hearts here at DriveWealth.
But Emily’s impact doesn’t end there. Her dedication to building an inclusive culture has been crucial to DriveWealth’s growth trajectory as we continue to grow around the world. She is an adamant advocate for encouraging questions and opening doors for opportunities both internally and externally. Currently, DriveWealth consists of 350+ team members representing 55 nationalities and 24 languages in 28 states and six major markets worldwide, including throughout Lithuania, Singapore, London, Dublin, and Brazil. Through this rapid growth, Emily has ensured that representation matters in each location.
In addition to NYC Fintech Women, the industry has taken note of Emily’s dedication and drive, recognizing DriveWealth with a number of workplace awards this year: DriveWealth was named a 2022 New Jersey Top Workplace and recognized by Built In’s Best Places To Work Awards as one of its Best Midsize Companies to Work For and Best Paying Companies in New York City for the second consecutive year.
