Ask any of our incredibly talented DriveWealth team members and they’ll be the first to tell you how excited we are to find ourselves in the middle of one of the most significant inflection points our company has seen. It’s not just that we find ourselves faced with opportunities to democratize access to a new class of financial customers, it’s that we know we have the talent in place to drive meaningful impact for our partners and their customers. Traditional barriers like high minimums and whole shares might have gotten in the way of investors in the past, but not anymore. We’ve broken down the barriers to entry – and anyone with a phone and as little as $1 can jump into the markets like never before.
As you can imagine, our physical and virtual workplaces often hum with energy. But with today’s unveiling of the 2022 Forbes Fintech 50 List, we’re especially energetic and grateful for every team member for being a part of our journey so far.
“Five companies with a growing behind-the-scenes presence in finance and enterprise software are on this year’s Fintech 50 list, recognizing America’s most innovative and influential fintech startups. Digital broker-dealer DriveWealth and identity verification firm Persona are both making their debuts on the list.” – Hank Tucker and Kevin Dowd, Forbes
The Forbes Fintech 50 List highlights the most innovative private companies that are making an impact on global consumers and businesses and we’re proud to celebrate our debut (and if our talented team has anything to say about it, this will certainly be the first of many more milestones to come)! But we’re here to celebrate this curtain raise with you – our partners, team members, the industry, and retail investors worldwide. We’ve come so far and couldn’t have done it without your help in supporting our mission to level the playing field for retail investors worldwide. Let’s take a look at some of the milestones that we’ve accomplished together over the past year that led to this honor:
- Expanded our executive team, including the appointment of Visa’s top crypto executive Terry Angelos as our new Global CEO, and notable appointments of Google and PayPal executives
- Provided access to affordable fractional investing in markets including Africa (Kenya, Uganda), Europe (Georgia), and Asia Pacific (South Korea), among others
- Achieved recognition in the 2022 WealthTech100 List and two Best Places To Work Awards from Built In NYC
- Enabled crypto investing via our acquisition of Crypto-Systems to provide an API-driven experience to seamlessly connect partners’ retail investors to the crypto marketplace.
But what’s next you ask? Well, we’re in full gear driving toward our next stage of growth, and in particular, our continued global expansion. So buckle up, we couldn’t be more excited about what lies ahead – not only for us, but for our partner as well as we scale our businesses together.
